This Privacy Policy describes how Maxsip Tel LLC, together with our family of companies, (collectively, “Maxsip,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you, when you use our websites, mobile applications, connected devices, and other online products and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, our “Services”), or when you otherwise interact with us, such as through our customer recruitment efforts, customer support channels, or on social media.

One of the Services we offer enables eligible customers to receive internet-connected devices and broadband internet access through the Affordable Connectivity Program (“ACP”) overseen by the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC”), and this Privacy Policy describes the information we receive if you participate in ACP through Maxsip. We may provide different or additional notices of our privacy practices for certain products, services, or activities, in which case those notices will supplement or replace the disclosures in this Privacy Policy. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this policy. If we make material changes, we will provide you with additional notice (such as by sending you a notification). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.

Collection of Information

The information we collect about you depends on how you interact with us or use our Services. In this section, we describe the categories of information we collect and the sources of this information.

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information directly from you when you sign up for ACP with Maxsip, create an account, fill out a form, communicate with us via third-party platforms, participate in a contest or promotion we may offer, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information that we collect include your name, email address, date of birth, postal address, phone number, other information necessary for ACP participation, and information that you otherwise choose to provide. To facilitate your receipt of ACP benefits and verify your eligibility, we collect the last four digits of your Social Security Number and certain information about government benefits you or someone in your household receives. If you make a purchase with us, including to provide the co-payment for your ACP device, we work with a third-party payment processor to process your payment.

Information We Collect Automatically

We automatically collect certain information about your interactions with us or our Services, including:

Device and Usage Information: We collect information about how you access our Services, including device information, such as your hardware model, operating system version, IP address, unique device identifiers, network status, and browser type. We also collect information about your activity on our Services (including our devices), such as access times, apps downloaded, links clicked, and data usage information.

Customer Service Interactions: If you contact customer service through any chat feature we may offer, by text, or by phone, we may monitor and retain those conversations, including for training purposes.

Transactional Information: If you make a purchase from us, such as a co-payment for your device or to top up data, we collect information about the transaction, such as the device purchased, and the date and location of the transaction.

Location Information: We may infer your location (such as your city) based on the IP address of a device you use to access our Services.

Information Collected by Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies: We use tracking technologies, such as cookies, pixels, and SDKs, to collect information about your interactions with the Services. These technologies help us improve our Services and your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popular, and collect other analytics. Information We Collect from Other Sources

We obtain information from other sources. For example, we may collect information from advertising networks, data analytics providers, and mailing list providers. This information includes, for example, contact information and other data about individuals that may be interested in our Services or participating in ACP.

Information We Derive

We may derive or infer information about you based on the other information we collect. For example, if you use our music streaming app, we may infer that you’re interested in certain artists based on other music you’ve listened to.

Use of Information

We use the categories of information we collect to provide our Services, including to provide broadband internet access to ACP participants. We also use the information we collect to:

● Maintain and improve our Services;

● Develop new products and services;

● Personalize your experience with us;

● Send you technical notices, security alerts, support messages and other transactional or relationship messages;

● Communicate with you about products, services, and events offered by Maxsip and others and provide news and information that we think will interest you (see the Your Choices section below for information about how to opt out of these communications at any time);

● Provide and administer any loyalty programs we may offer;

● Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services;

● Target advertisements to you on third-party platforms and websites;

● Target advertising to you when you use ad-powered Services we may offer, including based on information provided by our advertising partners;

● Facilitate contests, sweepstakes, and promotions we may offer and process and deliver entries and rewards;

● Detect, investigate, and help prevent security incidents and other malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity and help protect the rights and property of Maxsip and others; and

● Comply with our legal and financial obligations.

Targeted Advertising and Analytics

We engage others to deliver advertising targeted to your interests on other companies’ sites or mobile apps and to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand your activity. To do so, these entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites and mobile apps, including your IP address, web browser and mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in mobile apps, links clicked, and conversion information. You can learn more about interest-based ads, or opt out of having your web browsing information used for behavioral advertising purposes by companies that participate in the Digital Advertising Alliance, by visiting http://www.aboutads.info/choices. Your device may also include a feature that allows you to opt out of having certain information collected through mobile apps used for behavioral advertising purposes.

In addition, we may share identifiers, like email addresses and phone numbers, with some of our advertising partners. These advertising partners translate that information into a unique identifier that can then be used to show ads that are more relevant to you across the web and in mobile apps.

Disclosures of Information

We disclose personal information in the following circumstances and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

In Connection with ACP. If you participate in ACP, we may disclose certain information about your enrollment to the FCC and other partners they designate, such as National Verifier (the organization that verifies eligibility for ACP benefits).

Vendors and Service Providers. We make personal information available to our vendors, service providers, contractors and consultants who perform services on our behalf, such as companies that assist us with web hosting, shipping and delivery, payment processing, financing, fraud prevention, customer service, data enrichment, analytics, marketing, and advertising.

With Other Users: If you choose to participate in interactive features of Services we may offer, such as reacting to content or leaving a product review, certain information will be available to other users.

Law Enforcement Authorities and Individuals Involved in Legal Proceedings. We disclose personal information in response to a request for information if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

To Protect the Rights of Maxsip and Others. We disclose personal information if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies or ACP requirements, if we believe that you have violated the law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of Maxsip, our users, the public, or others.

Professional Advisors. We disclose personal information to our legal, financial, insurance and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.

Corporate Transactions. We may disclose personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of certain corporate transactions, including the merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company.

Corporate Affiliates. Personal information is disclosed between and among Maxsip and our parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership.

At your Direction. We make personal information available to third parties when we have your consent or you intentionally direct us to do so.

Aggregated Data. We also disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We will not attempt to re-identify such information, except as permitted by law.

Your Choices

ACP Participation

If you participate in ACP with Maxsip, you may withdraw or transfer your participation to another provider at any time at no cost.

You may update certain information associated with your account, such as your email address or password, by contacting us at support@maxsiptel.com or (866) 629-7471.

Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies

Maxsip uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze visits to and use of our Services and how consumers interact with our marketing communications. You can usually adjust your browser settings to remove or reject all or some browser cookies. You can also adjust certain cookie settings by clicking here. Please note that removing or rejecting cookies could affect the certain features of our Services.

Communications Preferences

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from Maxsip by following the instructions in those communications or by contacting us support@maxsiptel.com or (866) 629-7471. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

Mobile Push Notifications

With your permission, we may send push notifications to your mobile and connected devices. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your devices.

Children’s Privacy

We do not allow individuals under the age of 18 to create accounts with us. Except for the limited purpose of determining ACP eligibility where relevant, we do not intentionally gather information about individuals under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under 18 and believe that we have collected personal information from your child, please contact us at support@maxsiptel.com or (866) 629-7471. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information about consumers under the age of 18.

Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) Policy

Customer Proprietary Network Information or CPNI is information available to us solely by virtue of our relationship with you that relates to the type, quantity, destination, technical configuration, location, and amount of use of the telecommunications and interconnected VoIP services you purchase from us, as well as related billing information. Notice about our use and sharing of this information (CPNI) and the choices you have may be provided on your monthly bill, over the phone, via text, in contracts or in other ways.

We may use and share your CPNI among our affiliates and agents to offer you services that are different from the services you currently purchase from us. If you don’t want your CPNI used for the marketing purposes described above, please notify us by phone any time at 1-866-629-7471 or support@maxsiptel.com.  Unless you notify us in one of these ways, we may use your CPNI as described above beginning 30 days after the first time we notify you of this CPNI policy. Your choice will remain valid until you notify us that you wish to change your selection. Your decision about use of your CPNI will not affect the provision of any services you currently have with us. 

The protection of your information is important to us, and you have a right, and we have a duty, under federal law, to protect the confidentiality of your CPNI.
